West U-12 B Hurling Championship.

Our A team bowed out of the championship on Friday last in Dundrum against a very strong Eire Og team.

The spirit and commitment given by the team in the game right to the end was a credit to them and may success come to them in the years ahead.

West U-16 B Hurling Championship:

The Sean Treacy/Emly combination played their first round match on Monday last on a wet evening in Annacarty. We faced the Kickhams, who finished the game strongly to win by 3 points. We now enter the losers group.

Fixtures:

Monday August 29.

U-14 B Hurling Championship Semi- Final at 7pm. Sean Treacys V Lattin-Cullen.

Community Games:

Congratulations to Elaine Ryan of Hollyford who gave a great performance in all Ireland community games. Sporting the Sean Treacys colours, she gave great pride to the club and parish by winning a bronze medal.

Training:

All training for U-12s, 10s, 8s and beginners will be held on Saturday morning from 10.30am until 11.45am. Contact will be made by text of any changes.

ALL IRELAND FINAL

The following are ticket details for All Ireland Hurling Finals on Sunday, September 4.

Ticket prices as follows: All Stands E80, Hill 16 and Nally Terrace E40.

There are no concessions, no family tickets or group passes. Tickets will be given out in the clubhouse on Friday 26th at 9pm.

COMMUNITY GAMES

Congratulations to Elaine Ryan, daughter of Liam and Aileen Ryan, Bahaca Hollyford who collected bronze in the U8 60m sprint at the community games held last weekend in Athlone.

Junior A Football

Championship has once again resumed for our footballers who play Arravale Rovers on Tuesday, August 23, and are scheduled to play Galtee Rovers on Sunday, August 28. Venue for Sunday’s fixture yet to be confirmed.

LEAVING CERT
