Carrick-on-Suir Town Council’s new website is now on-line providing up to date information on all the Council’s public services.

Mayor of Carrick-on-Suir Cllr Patsy Fitzgerald formally launched the Council’s official website at Carrick-on-Suir Town Hall last Thursday, October 27. He welcomed fellow councillors, Town Clerk Michael O’Brien and Council staff member Fergal Condon who set up the website.

The Mayor said he logged onto the website earlier in the day and was most impressed.

The website was very positive, he said, with links to other Carrick-on-Suir related websites including the Originsof Carrick on Suir Town Council (1836-99) by Dr Matthew Potter.

The website contains details and photographs of the Town Council’s current elected members and staff and minutes of Council meetings.

It features a history of the town and sections dealing with RAPID, motor tax, traffic, Register of Elections, Carrick-on-Suir Town Development Plan, housing, Carrick-on-SuirTown Centre Strategy as well as information on paying bills to the Council and plenty of local pictures.

Fergal showed the website to those present at the launch and explained how best to use it.

He plans to update it weekly.
