Ballygiblin’s Junior A Hurlers remain in with a chance of making the knockout stages of the Avondhu-Imokilly Div 1HL when a good second half showing saw them emerge victors by the narrowest of margins over Clyda Rovers 2-7 to 0-12 at Mourneabbey on Wednesday last. Trailing by 0-11 to 0-3 in the opening minutes of the second half the local side faced a daunting task but nevertheless two second half goals by Kevin Duggan helped in no small part as they managed to turn the tie in their favour.

The Junior A hurlers are now likely to meet Castletownroche in the Premier JHC the week end June 24. They next game in the league is away to Sarsfields.
