The 5 km event was very interesting where there was more of a fun element to this race where athletes had to predict there time. The first home in this section was none other than Dearbhle McKiernan at 11 years of age in 22minutes.

Once again the crowd enjoyed the refreshments and the record attendance were treated to pre race music by John McCormack. Thanks must also go to the Time Keepers, Red Cross, Gardai, Stewards and Catering Committee. Thanks to Liam Casey for the use of the car park and the sponsors who helped to make the event such a success. The charity event which coincided with the race saw almost €1000 raised by Susan O Donoghue fort the South Tipperary Arthritis Association.
