A belated birthday greeting to Tony Cummins, Cappagh, who with his wife Peggy and family and friends celebrated his 50th birthday in Armshaws. To the twin Breen’s Ayle, Joanne and Elizabeth who celebrated their special birthday on August 1, greetings are a little late but hopefully we will be in time next year.


Birthday greetings were in order for Willie Barry, Attybrick, and formerly of Ballyhane, who celebrated at Johnsies on Saturday night last with family and friends. Willie may you enjoy many more years of health and happiness.


A very special guest visited the Day-Care on Thursday, August 2, warmly welcomed was the Pride of Tipperary, Aoife O’Meara, the first Cappawhite girl to be “Pride” her aunt Patricia Buckley, her mam Ann and granny Marie were all guests on the day and enjoyed the music provided Francis, Anthony and Joe. Aoife herself entertained the crowd playing the flute. The Day-Care reopens after a two-week well deserved break for staff on August 21.

Sympathy to daughter Margaret Mary, on the death of her mam Mai Hogan, Templebraden. To Mai’s son-in-law, grandchildren and extended family sincere sympathy, the burial took place in Emly on August 6.

Sympathy to husband Jimmy, daughter Marie, son John grandson and granddaughter of the late Leacie Nicolas, Cappanuic, Cappamore, to her extended family sympathy is also extended. They funeral took place to Ballinure cemetery last week.

Sympathy to the Dunne family, to Dr. Dunne his wife Catherine on the death of Catherine’s mam who was interred last week. “Sweet Jesus have mercy on their dear souls”.
