U 16’s

On Monday, July 30, King Cormac’s U16’s travelled to Sean Treacy Park to play Arravale Rovers in round four of their league campaign.

Cashel opened the scoring with a point from Jonathan Walsh who followed shortly with a goal giving the visitors a fine start. Arravale soon settled into the game and as they picked off some fine scores from play Cashel found themselves trailing at the half time whistle.

After play resumed Arravale seemed to take command of the game but some good team play saw a great midfield deliverance from James Cummins to Colin Brosnan who quickly found Jonathan Walsh lurking in front of goals and without hesitation he netted a goal. Cashel lobbed over a few more points from frees and a flick at goals by Ross Bonnar brought Cashel into the lead. Great saves by Daniel Wade kept the team in the driving seat until the final whistle.

Final score C KC 3-10 Arravale 1-14.

Overall a good display of team effort and determination helped Cashel into the semi final of the league where they will meet Sean Treacy/Emly combo on Monday next, August 13, time and venue to be decided. Well done to all involved.
