Lotto - Lotto numbers drawn Monday 30th July were 2 – 7 – 15 – 16. No jackpot winner. The matched three winners who received €38 each were Anne Murphy, Brendan Burke, Paul Devine and Siobhan Burke. Next week’s Jackpot is €3,950
Our Seniors were out on Monday evening last in the South Semi Final against Moyle Rovers. This was a rather disappointing display and we were well beaten by a stronger Moyle Rovers team on the day. Our Senior interests now move to next Saturday evening where we will have to improve somewhat if we are going to advance in the County Championship. We play Fethard in round one which is fixed for Clonmel Sportsfield at 7pm (Referee David Grogan)
Our Juniors played St Pats in the South Championship on Monday, July 30, in Ned Hall Park. We played some good football at times and were well worth our 4-07 to 1-10 win. We have now qualified for the South Semi Final but we must play Newcastle on Thursday night in Clogheen at 7pm in the last game of the group stages. This will determine our position in the table and we will then know who our semi final opposition will be.
The under 8 Player of the week is Adam Carrigan, Adam is playing some excellent football at the moment and is well deserving of this award. Well done Adam.
Blue & Gold
Hard luck to Tom Kirwan and the Tipperary Minor Footballers who were beaten by Mayo in the All Ireland Quarter Final on Saturday last in Croke Park.
Well done to Derek O’Mahoney and his team of Umpires Liam, Stan, Ger and Fran who were in action on the National stage on Sunday last where he refereed the All Ireland Football Championship Quarter Final between Dublin and Monaghan in Newry. Dublin ran out winners by 1-16 to 0-08.
We would like to offer our deepest sympathy to the family, friends and neighbours of Seanie Myler who passed away recently. May he rest in peace.
