Boherlahan Dualla

A couple of years ago a lovely statue of St. Brigid was erected at Tubberadora. An array of beautiful flowers now surrounds the Statue and the shrine is maintained by the Walsh family and other neighbours. A rosary and prayers will be celebrated at the statue on this Sunday evening, August 12 at 6pm.

Mass will be celebrated on next Wednesday evening, August 15, commencing at 6.45pm. This is always a great community event. Please notify any relatives and friends of this date as they may wish to travel for it. There will be a work evening this Friday evening, August 10, at 7pm. It is an opportunity to do a general clean up in preparation for the Mass. We look forward to a good response and favourable weather.

Will hold a cake sale in Boherlahan Parish Hall after Masses this weekend. All help and support would be greatly appreciated.

It is that time of year again. Please make every effort to keep our villages neat and tidy. If everyone cooperates, then the problem is solved. Please be vigilant and challenge people who feel they can use parish amenities for anti-social behaviour. If we take responsibility, then standards and values will be safeguarded and maintained.

At the recent opening of our new school, we received a good response from many past pupils of old photos and tales of past. We feel that there may be a lot more material in old drawers or presses in our parish. We do ask everyone to have a look around and if they find any old material to please hand it in to either sacristy. If we get enough material, we hope to publish a book to mark this historic milestone in our parish.
