St Marys Church, Newcastle, was the scene of a lovely wedding on Friday afternoon, August 3, where Triona, daughter of Mattie and Margaret McGrath, Garrencasey, was united in the holy bonds of matrimony with Eanna, son of the late Tomas and Berry O’Flynn, Croughclooney. The nuptials were performed by Rev Fr Gareth Desmond P.P Newcastle/Fourmilewater. The lovely young bride was given in marriage by her father Mattie and was attended by chief bridesmaid Kathy McGrath (cousin) and her sisters Mairead and Treasa McGrath. Eanna’s best man was Anthony O’Dwyer (brother in law) and the groomsmen were Diarmuid O’Flynn brother of the groom and Tomas O’Dwyer (friend). Prayers of the faithful, readings and offerty procession were undertaken by family members of Eanna and Triona, the reflection was delivered by Triona’s sister Mairin. Music for the ceremony was by Serenus Malone and Sinead Grant. Following the ceremony family, friends and guests joined with the young married couple at the reception in Hotel Minella, Clonmel, where celebrations went on until the early hours.
