Clogheen A.I.B. branch will close on October 26. We would like to wish all the staff that have given great service to all the customers down through the years the very best in the future.

CANCER CARE FUNDRAISER

Ned O’Brien, Fr Sheehy’s Tce, Clogheen, would like to thank everyone that sponsored him in the recent Longford Marathon. He raised €608 for Cancer C.A.R.E. Clonmel.

SOUTH TIPP CYCLE CLUB

The committee for the newly formed cycle club, South Tipp C.C. would like to invite anyone interested in joining the club to attend a meeting on Monday, October 29, at 8pm in Clogheen Community Centre. The membership for the year is Adults €50, Juniors €20.

VEE ROVERS F.C.

Under 10s kicked off the season against Clonmel Celtic. After a tough game the final score was 1-1.

Under 14s played a friendly with Park United from Mitchelstown, The boys from town proved too strong for Rovers, with the final score 5-1.

The Juniors were away to Borriskane in the F.A.I. Junior Cup. Rovers had the upper hand in this match and with 2 goals from Warren O’Brien, the final score was 2-0.

BRIAN BORUS CAMOGIE

Brian Borus u12s are currently taking part in the u12 league. To date they have played Hollycross/Ballycahill and Moycarkey. With one loss and one win under their belt they now go through to knock out stage. All players are requested to please attend training on Wednesday at 6pm.

BRIAN BORUS AGM

The Camogie Club AGM will take place on Wednesday, November 7, in Ballylooby Club Dressing rooms. Parents of children who are playing with the club are requested to please come along on the night.

Development Camp - Tipperary camogie academy are holding a training camp from October 26 to 28, in Templederry GAA complex. Cost E10 per player. All 13 and 12 year old players may attend. Friday 7pm to 9.30pm, Saturday 10am to 1pm and Sunday 10am to 1pm. Any player wishing to attend please let Mary Murphy know in the next week as names have to be forwarded to the Devlopment Officer before October 19.

BRIAN BORUS LADIES FOOTBALL

The AGM of Brian Borus Ladies Football Club took place last Saturday. Officers elected: Chairman Larry Keating, Vice Chairperson Orla Fleming, Secretary Nora Morrissey, Assistant Secretary Anne Keating, Treasurer Eileen Myles, Assistant Treasurer Carmel Condon, PRO Anne Keating, Registrar Mary Murphy, Child Welfare Officer Trisha Hickey and Cultural Officer Eileen Myles.

The club is holding a table quiz in The Village Inn, Ballylooby, on Saturday, November 3, at 9pm.
