PRESENTATION TO SR AINE
There was a warm atmosphere in Burncourt Community Hall last Friday night when the people of Burncourt and Skeheenarinky came together to acknowledge the commitment and work of Sr Aine during her years of service to St Teresa’s Hospital. With participation from adults and children from both communities, Mass was celebrated by Fr.Frawley.
Following the Mass, David Casey spoke of his many years working with Sr Aine through the Friends of St Teresa’s Hospital, recalling the many fundraisers and expressing his admiration for the vision and dedication of Sr Aine in bringing St Teresa’s to the wonderful facility it is today.
Geraldine Connolly spoke with great sincerity of her family’s involvement with Sr. Aine and St. Teresa’s Hospital and her memories of the care and compassion that family members had received there. Geraldine concluded by saying that like a good captain, Sr. Aine was leaving her ship in ship-shape. Presentations were made to Sr Aine. Sr. Aine was warm-hearted in her gratitude to all, thanking all for their efforts in making the night a very special occasion for her.
