Rehab Care, Bridgewater House and Knocklofty Rural Day Service invite you to The Art of Fun exhibition in Clonmel Library which continues until this Saturday, 20th.


We are most grateful for the generosity of so many parishioners who have donated €137,280 towards the renovation of the Church. The total cost of the renovations is €875,000. The loan is €500,000 and the balance to pay €362,120. Last week donations of €50, €20, €5 and €5 were received. Thank You.

Mission Sunday

This Sunday (21st) is Mission Sunday. We are asked to remember our missionaries, to pray for them and to support them. The annual collection for the Propagation of Faith will take place at all Masses this weekend.

Carer’s Association

A mini-marathon in aid of the Carers Association will take place on this Sunday, 21st October with the starting point at Hotel Minella at 3pm. Registration forms are available from the Carers Office, 8 Sarsfield Street or online at For further information contact Richie Molloy on 052-6170455.

Eucharistic Adoration Retreat

The Diocese of Waterford and Lismore Eucharistic Adoration Retreat will take place on Sunday, 28th October at St. Oliver’s Church, Clonmel.

2pm - Arrival, 2.15 – Rosary, 2.30 - Retreat Talk by Fr. P. Cahill, 3.15 - Tea Break, 3.45 - Eucharistic Adoration Meditations by Fr. Patrick Cahill 4.30 - Celebration of Holy Mass. The cost is €5 and all are welcome.

Parish Meeting

The next Pastoral Council Meeting will take place on Monday, 22nd October at 22 Gladstone Street.

Parishes Social Evening

The Clonmel Area Parishes Social Evening with dinner, cabaret and dancing will take place in Hotel Minella at 7.30 pm on Friday, 26th October. The cabaret will feature Derek Ryan (baritone) and Deirdre Ryan (soprano) with accompanist Mary Rose McNally, followed by dancing with music by Jeb. Tickets at €25 each are available from Ss Peter and Paul’s Book Shop, the Church of the Resurrection, the Friary Office or Marian’s Bookshop, O’Connell Street.

The Clonmel Grouping of Parishes invites all parishioners from across Clonmel: Ss Peter and Paul, St Mary’s, Irishtown, St Olivers, Powerstown/Lisronagh, Kilsheelan/Kilcash and the Friary to this special evening.

O’ Donoghues Clonmel are providing a free bus to bring all those attending to and from Hotel Minella. The pick-up points are as follows: 7pm Church of the Resurrection, 7.05 pm Bates Shop, 7.10 pm Ss Peter and Paul’s , 7.15 pm St Mary’s Church, 7.20 pm Old Bridge.

If you would like to donate a raffle prize we would be most grateful, they can be dropped into the Parish Shop.

Mass for bereaved families

The annual Mass for all those in the Parish who suffered the loss of a loved one during the past 12 months will take place on this Saturday, 20th October at 7.30pm in Ss Peter and Paul’s church. During the Mass all those bereaved will be especially remembered. All are welcome.

Pioneers dinner

Then Waterford and Lismore Diocesan Pioneer and Total Abstinence Association (P.T.T.A.) dinner and evening of music and dance will take place on Sunday, 11th November in the Gold Coast Hotel at 2pm. Tickets cost €25. Please contact Denis on 052-6125090 for more information.

Blue Suede Shoes

The High School and the Presentation Secondary School will present the musical Blue Suede Shoes in the White Memorial Theatre from Tuesday, 23rd October to Friday, 26th October.
