Members of the Local Flower and Garden Club attended a Workshop of Christmas Floral Arrangements given by Mildred Stokes at Ardagh House on Sunday, December 16.

Each member went home with their arrangements for Hall, Dinner Table and Wreaths for graves.

Winner of the Table Arrangement done by Mildred was won by Joan St. John, St. Mary’s road. Thanks to Mildred for all her help to our newly formed Club. Special thanks to Michael & Mary Cormack for the use of their premises and on Sunday as usual we had tea & buns purchased from the Cake sale ran by parents of Scoil Ruain, supporting the local school. Next Club Meeting will be on Tuesday, February 12. Wishing all members a Holy and Healthy New Year.

Sympathy:

Sincere sympathy to the family and relatives of Kathleen Ryan, Cattaganstown; whose death took place recently.

To Donal and Kitty O’Rourke, Moyglass, on the death of their daughter.

May they rest in picture.

ICA:

The local Guild of ICA made their usual Christmas visit to Bailey House Nursing Home on Tuesday, December 19 with a gift to each resident and spent time chatting to all. Mary Sirr (member) entertained with some music on her accordion. Thanks to Matron Lily & Staff for all their kindness to residents and for some refreshments to visitors.

Wishing all readers of the Killenaule Notes and all Clubs who subscribe items to be included, a very Happy and Prosperous 2013.
