Last weekend saw the launch of the local GAA newsletter. The object of the newsletter is to bring more of the news of the club to more people in the community. Editor of the newsletter is GAA pro Jackie Bolger with the rest of the club officers helping out. Any club social events which either section of the club is planning should also be there. The first issue consisted of only a single page but “From little acorns great oaks growâ€. The wish is that the newsletter will bring the club closer to the people of the parish.
Our U21 footballers had their make or break game with Clonmel Og postponed again last weekend. Our senior hurlers travelled to Puckane in the new county hurling league, but suffered a heavy defeat. Our next outing is against Mount Sion in the Molleran’s tournament while our U21s finally get to play Clonmel Og. A win would put us into the semi-final.
