Ballylooby Ladies Club will hold their AGM in Ballylooby Community Hall on this Wednesday, March 6, at 8pm.

LINE DANCING

Line dancing classes continue in Ballylooby Community Hall every Thursday night from 7pm to 8pm.

FUNDRAISING RACE NIGHT

Ballylooby Castlegrace Senior & Juvenile Club along with Brian Boru Camogie Club are holding a race night in the Village Inn, Ballylooby, Saturday, March 16, at 9pm. All proceeds going towards a hurling wall. Sponsorship spaces still available. Full page ad in race booklet €30, half page ad €20. Horses €10. More details from any committee member.

GAA DEVELOPMENT DRAW

Draw on Monday 25. No jackpot winner and no match three winners. Four lucky dips: Breda Burke, Croughatoor, Ina Myles Ardfinnan, Gerard O’Sullivan Newcastle, and Laurence Walsh (Snr) Ardfinnan will receive €50 each. Next week’s jackpot €5,200.

JUVENILE GAA 25 DRIVE

Card drive continues every Monday night in Ballylooby Community Hall at 8.30pm followed by light refreshments.

DAFFODIL DAY

The Annual Daffodil Day will take place in Duhill Hall on Friday, March 15, commencing at 10am.

BALLYLOOBY PARENT & TODDLER GROUP

On Monday next, March 11, the group will meet in the Hall from 10.30am to 12.30 and the following Monday, March 18, St. Patricks Bank Holiday weekend will be a day off. Info from Lucy 7442058 (086-8185690).

BRIAN BORUS LADIES FOOTBALL

Well done to Laura Morrissey and the Tipp U14 County team who beat Waterford in Clonmel last Saturday. Also congratulations to Jessica Myers who made the Tipp U16 panel. Our own U16 trainer Garreth Byrne is also part of the management team with the county girls. Best of luck to all in their campaigns this year.

A meeting of the club will take place in Clogheen next Thursday evening at 8pm. All are invited to attend.

CONFIRMATION DAY

On Tuesday, February 26, Rev. Edmund Canon Cullinan administered the Sacrament of Confirmation to 44 children, the pupils of 5th and 6th class in our Parish School Ballylooby. Congratulations to the children, parents and teachers and everybody involved in the preparation of this special day.

STAR-CAMP PERFORMING ARTS SUMMER CAMP

Congratulations to Aideen O’Grady-Aherne daughter of Gretta O’Grady (nee Coffey) and granddaughter of Terry Coffey Castlegrace who made a successful bid in last Sunday nights Dragon’s Den on RTE 1. We wish Aideen continued success and the best of luck with this project.
