The parents council of Scoil Teampall Toinne Ballyporeen would like to say thanks to all the parents and children who turned up on Sunday for our annual sponsored walk. There were 85 participants. This fundraiser is going towards our book rental scheme which we are currently working on. Your support was terrific and a very enjoyable walk was had by all. Thanks to: Liz Downes and Tesco Mitchelstown for supplying refreshments for the children also Super Value Fermoy for their generosity with goodies for the children. Thanks to Jim O’Brien for leading the walk once again this year and for his knowledge of the area which was of great interest; thanks to Jim Creagh for staying in the car park and looking after the cars; to Mary Hickey for her help on the day. We remind children to return sponsorship cards to the school by Friday, May 17. Best wishes to the 13 children from the parish who are receiving their first holy communion on Saturday, May 18. We invite everyone to the school hall after the ceremony for refreshments. It’s usual that parents of 1st and 3rd class provide refreshments for the day but if any parent wants to bake we would very appreciate your help, it can be handed into the school hall after 3pm on Friday or on Saturday morning.

Registration morning was held last Sunday. If you haven’t yet registered we would appreciate if you could do so as soon as possible. Well done to our u12 team who had a great win over Newcastle last week.
