Last Saturday our u10s played in the South Board Championship Blitz. They played five games winning three Ballingarry, Killenaule and Fethard and had two draws Mullinahone and St Pats. They finished runners up to the winners St Pats who topped the table. U14 hurlers played Kilsheelan Kilcash last Thursday evening. Kilsheelan Kilcash won on a score of 5-7 to 5-4 and on Monday, July 15. U16 hurlers played Anner Gaels in Ballyneale, in very warm conditions the supporters were treated to a very entertaining game of hurling with Anner Gaels up a point at half time. We lost Pa Oâ€™Connell to injury shortly in to the second half, Anner Gaels ran out comfortable winners in the end.
Intermediate hurlers played their last game in the group stage last Saturday v Thurles Sarsfield. Thurles won 5-17 to 1-16.
U12 hurling v Swan on Saturday at 12 noon in the Fairgreen and on Tuesday 30th they play Cahir in Ballyneale at 7pm in the County End Game Qualifiers. The U14 next game is at home on August 1, v Clerihan and the U16s are at home v Ballylooby /Fr Sheehys on July 29.

Minor Hurling: In combination with Emly we defeated Lattin-Cullen on Sunday 21st in Kilcommon on a scoreline of 3-14 to 0-14. After a tight opening 40 minutes goals from Simon Maher, Brian Carey and Paul Ryan settled the tie in our favour

Leaving Moyglass at 3pm travelling via Rocklow, Ballybrigh, Killenaule Road Fethard, Red City, Barrettstown Cross, Coolmoyne Cross, Mocklerâ€™s Hill, Coleraine, Silverfort Cross, Oâ€™Dea Cross, Clonbrogan then returning to Moyglass.

U10s: Well done to our U10s for participating in the Blitz in Kilsheelan on Saturday. The tremendous heat did not make it an easy task for our players.
U12s: Our U12s provided an exciting game on Friday, July 19, playing our neighbours Mullinahone. It was a very close game throughout ending with a draw on the final whistle. Well done to all.
U16s: Larry Hayes/Nigel Lahart Memorial Tournament
Saturday, July 20, was a tremendous day for the Larry Hayes/Nigel Lahart Memorial Tournament. A total of 10 teams from far and wide participatedwith Arravale Rovers beating St. Finbars (Dublin) by a very close margin to win the Nigel Lahart Memorial Shield. The Larry Hayes Memorial Cup Final was a very exciting game with Clonoulty Rossmore and Carrick Swan going to extra time. An excellent display of hurling was shown by both teams with Clonoulty Rossmore victorious in the end. All teams deserve huge recognition for playing so many games in the blistering heat, it was no easy task. Well done to everyone who participated and helped out on the day so that our Memorial Tournament was a huge success. A special thank you to the members of the Hayes and Lahart families for making the presentations to the winning teams.
Cul Camp: Our Cul Camp began on July 22. A great week is expected to be had by all.
Year Of Faith
The fifth and final area Mass for â€œYear of Faithâ€ will be celebrated at Derrinlaur Green (or nearby shed if weather unsuitable) at 7.30pm this Friday, July 26th. Refreshments will be provided and all are welcome.
The Senior Footballers made it through to the County Quarter Finals when they secured a 2-13 to 0-6 victory over Moycarkey-Borris in New Inn. There were some good passages of play here but a further improvement will be required for the sterner tests that lie ahead. See Match Report.
The U12s started their Premier Games hurling competition on Monday evening. Two teams were entered in the competition, one in Division 2 and one in Division 4. The Division 2 team played Mullinahone in Kilsheelan. They were missing a couple of vital players, but still played well but were beaten on a scoreline of 1-6 to 1-2.
The U14s opened their campaign with a 5-7 to 5-3 win over Ballyneale in Kilsheelan. This was a rip roaring contest with some excellent hurling. Credit must go to the team for carving out this victory as they fought with determination until the final whistle. Team: Aaron Dempsey, Killian McHale, Frank Mallekoote, Shane Cosgrave, Brian Flavin, Cian Quinn, Billy Murphy, Sean Martin, Mark Stokes, Billy Oâ€™Connor, Luke Kiely, Sean Freaney, Jamie Roche, Conor Murphy, Jason Madigan and Adam Quigley.
Letâ€™s hope the fine weather will continue for the Summer Camp this week when we expect the sportsfield to be a hive of activity with the young boys and girls learning the skills and enjoying participating in our games.

Late Mary Oâ€™Dwyer
The death has occurred of Mary Oâ€™Dwyer (nÃ©e Carew), Emly Road, Tipperary Town, and late of Ballycohey, Shronell. Predeceased by her husband Michael and son Patrick, she is survived by her daughter Margaret, sisters Pauline and Breda, brother Danny, nephews, niece, relatives, neighbours and friends. Following Requiem Mass in The Church of the Assumption, Lattin, burial took place to Solohead Cemetery.
Late Denis (Denny) Delaney
The death has occurred of Denis (Denny) Delaney, Galbally Rd., Tipperary and late of Ballinahow. Predeceased by his wife Mary, he is survived by his son Denis, daughter Catriona, brother Michael, daughter-in-law Josephine, grandson C.J., brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends. Following Requiem Mass, burial took place in St. Michaelâ€™s Cemetery.
Late Mary (Baby May) Cunningham
The death occurred last Sunday at South Tipperary General Hospital, Clonmel, of Mary (Baby May) Cunningham, Lattin. She is survived by her son Gerry, daughter Bernie, son-in-law Seamie, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends. Her remains were removed from Fraserâ€™s Funeral Home Galbally to Emly Church, where Requiem Mass was celebrated last Wednesday morning. Burial took place afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
The annual general meeting of ELCO Gun Club will take place in Cullen Soccer Clubhouse this Friday night, July 26, at 8.30pm. All members and intending members are welcome to attend.
Aisling Childrenâ€™s Fund
Quinlanâ€™s Bar, Cullen, will be the place to be on the bank holiday Monday, August 5, when popular band Scope will reunite for a fundraising concert with special guests and a barbecue in aid of the Aisling Childrenâ€™s Fund. The Fund, which was established in 2004, provides financial aid to families of seriously ill children. Proceedings commence at 7pm.
Mass at Derrygrath Graveyard will be held on Monday, August 12, and not on August Bank Holiday this year.
