Congrats are in order for Anna Ryan, Báwn, who was so lucky to scoop the big lotto money €E18,700 on Monday, August 22. To top it off, her daughter-in-law Una Ahearne Ryan B. won €E20. Very happy spending to both of you from all at the Lotto office.

SYMPATHY

Sympathy to Tommie Coffey, Golden and formerly of Clonganhue and Toem, on the unexpected death of his only son, Michael. Sincere sympathy to his partner and three children, aunt Babie Quinlan and family and all his extended family. Michael was interred in his native Clonmel on Monday, August 22. “Sweet Jesus have mercy on his soul”.

West Tipp Mental Health Association/ Friends of Mount Sion: health promotion evening, ‘Building Resilience Together’, Wednesday, August 31, at 8pm in Ballykisteen Hotel. Tipperary Gospel Choir; open forum – guest speakers: Sean Gallagher (Presidential candidate), Mary McEvoy (actress), Dr. Alan Moore (Consultant psychiatrist), Dr. Ivor Hanrahan (general practitioner), Martin Quinn (President of Muintir na Tire), Alan Quinlan (patron). Country singer Anthony O’ Connor, cabaret and dancing with Jimmy Buckley at 9.30pm. Refreshments at interval; free health promotion CD. Admission to cabaret and dancing is €E15; first part of the evening is free. Proceeds go to West Tipperary Mental Health Association, 086-8040561.

DAY FOR CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL

Thanks to all who supported the Tea Day in Ozanam House and all who contributed to the boxes in shops and pubs. €E331 was raised.

DANCE IN AID OF CRUMLIN

A fundraising dance will be held in Cahir House Hotel on September 7. The very best bands will attend including Louise Morrissey and her band, Patrick Feeney and many more outstanding names. Admission is €E20 and it’s such a deserving cause.
