Our u12 White team travelled to Cloneen on Saturday last to take part in the first round of their football championship. They had a great win over St. Pats and showed some very impressive football skills. Team: Mikey McGrath, Shane Marnell, Steven Cleary, Geard Ryan, David Ivors, Declan Hayes, Conor Hayes, Kieran Lyons, Dara Ryan and Sean Ryan.

U14’s took part in the Féile na nGael on Sunday evening last in Grangemockler. They had a very admirable win over Ballyneale/Grangemockler and go on now to the semi finals next week and hopefully will progress to the finals.

Our u16’s played their first football championship match on Sunday last in Ballingarry against Cahir. Cahir were strong from the beginning and the backs were under pressure throughout the game. Cahir led by 7 points at the end of the first half. Ballingarry then conceded a goal early in the second half but fought back and with a few points and then a goal by Cillian Touhy brought them back into the game but in the end Cahir proved more powerful and won the game on a score line of 1-09 to 1-04. Next championship match on Thursday 29 in Ballingarry. Congratulations to Richie Ivors, John Walsh and Dylan Walsh on making the u14 South Football team and competing in the County Inter-divisional Football Tournament in Ballylooby on, March 19. The South came out on top after comfortably defeating the North on a score line of 4-10 to 0-04 which qualified them for the cup final against the defending champions, the Mid. The South dominated throughout the final and won out the tournament with a score of 6-05 to 0-05. Well done lads-you should be very proud of yourselves.
