DRANGAN COMMUNITY CENTRE

Members of the Drangan Community Centre Committee will be calling to households during next week to collect the first instalment of the money pledged to the New Community Hall.

Thanks to everyone for their continuing support, and we look forward to the project starting in the month of April.

CONGRATULATIONS

To James and Aidan Buckley who have reached the Munster final stage in badminton. James and Aidan join forces and compete in the final of the under 17 Munster Doubles Championship, Aidan will also compete in the singles under 15 final, and James with a partner from Clare will compete in the mixed final, we wish both James and Aidan every success, finals day to take place in Mahon, Co. Cork on March 24 .

SYMPATHY

Our sympathy is extended to Mr. Jimmy Keane, Newtown, Drangan, on the sad death of his sister Mrs. Delia O’Dwyer, Kilcommon, whose Requiem Mass was celebrated in the Parish Church, Kilcommon last Saturday, March 24, burial afterwards in the family burial grounds. May she rest in peace.

WHIST DRIVE

Will be held in the Community Hall, Drangan on Monday, April 2, at 8.45 p.m.

DRANGAN AND CLONEEN PLAYSCHOOL

Are now enrolling new children for September 2012/2013. Please register your child to avail of the ECCE free playschool year. The playschool also caters for paying children 2 years 10 months – 5 years. Please contact 052 9152333 to avail of this service.

On Saturday last in Mullinahone, our minor football combination St. Patrick’s Gaels defeated Ballingarry by 1-14 to 2-8.

On Sunday, April 1, our minor footballers play Cahir in Ned Hall Park, Clonmel at 12noon.

On Thursday evening, March 29, our under 16 footballers play Ballingarry at 6.30p.m. in O’Sullivan Park, Ballingarry.

On Sunday last in Anner Park, Cloneen, our junior hurlers defeated Knockavilla-Donaskeigh Kickhams by 3-10 to 0-14.

On Saturday last in Anner Park, our under 12 footballers fielded two teams but unfortunately, both teams were defeated one by Mullinahone and the second by Ballingarry.
