Our u12s took part in the Munster Ladies Football Go Games blitz in Newtownshandrum on Saturday. A great day was had by all who attended. The girls played with great skill and displayed excellent team work. In our group we played Eire Og, Donoughmore, Mullinahone and Ballincollig. Team: Linda Murphy, Emma White, Roisin Murray, Ciara Morrissey, Jane Hyland, Michaela Rossiter, Kayleigh O’ Brien, Nadia Keating and Niamh Lonergan, Roisin Flannery, Lauren O’ Brien and Chloe Enright. Team Managers: Kevin Ryan, Mary Murphy and Carmel Condon.
Our u16’s started their championship last Monday, with a game against Fethard. This is a very young team and under the circumstances of various injuries the girls produced a good performance. Unfortunately Fethard were the stronger team and deserved to win on the day. Team manager Garreth Byrne is currently preparing them for their next game, so it’s important all girls attend training.
