Cahir Dive Club kicked off the diving season in style by going on tour to explore the crystal clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean off the island of Lanzarote.
The week provided a fantastic opportunity to view diverse marine life such as parrot fish, groupers and moray eels to name but a few.
Deeper and more adventurous dives included swim throughs, cavern dives and wreck dives, with those undertaking the Sports Diver course improving their skills and progressing to these depths under the expert tuition of the clubs instructors. Enjoyable evenings were had sampling the culinary skills of some members with tasty barbeques and ample food ensuring all divers had no issues with getting down to deeper depths as the week progressed!
We even brought a touch of Irish underwater on St. Patrick’s Day with the nations flag proudly displayed for the days diving.
Special thanks must be extended to Canary Island Divers for providing the necessary equipment and expert knowledge of the various dive sites around Lanzarote. Club members are now looking forward to continuing the diving season in the more homely but albeit chillier temperatures of the Irish waters!
