Juvenile GAA

The U 6,8 and 10s played Cashel on Saturday 26. All games were closely contested. The U10s were narrowly beaten, the U8s had a very tough game and the U6s won. A big thanks to all the adults and kids who took part in the Mantlehill walk. There was a great turn out. Thanks to special guests Tom Hayes TD and County hurling star Timmy Hammersley. If anyone is not receiving the club text then please notify any committee member.

Well done to Thomastown U13 Hurlers who beat Annacarthy in the County Semi final. They now play the North Champions next Thursday at 3.50pm in Semple Stadium. Local support would be appreciated. Congrats also to Thomastown NS Team (Andy Byrnes, Niall Heffernan, Tony Byron and Shane Farrell) who won the West Final of the Primary schools Hurling skills. For their efforts they won a laptop worth €1000 for the school which Principal Brian Cahill gladly received. They then went on to win the County Final of the Hurling skills competition. It is the first time that this Competition was held and it was a great honour for a small school like Thomastown to win. Well done also to the trainers S Condon and M Heffernan.
