Last Saturday turned out a beautiful day and a busy one for members of Mid-Tipp Hillwalkers.

A dozen or so of their most experienced rockclimbers headed off to Ballykeefe Amphitheatre and spend a most enjoyable afternoon teaching basis abseiling and rockclimbing to about 50 young people and adult beginners on the club’s annual “climbing for fun day”.

Many thanks to all our members who provided their time and equipment so selflessly.

Next on the club’s busy programme of events is a high level walk leaving from outside Cashel firestation at 11am, on Sunday next, August 19.

Then they have the usual rockclimbing session on Tuesday evening next, August 21. Meet outside the Horse and Jockey Hotel at 6pm.
