ST PATRICK’S GAA

Our under 12 Parish football league started on Sunday in Anner Park. Victories went to the Dublin team captained by James Fitzgerald who defeated the Donegal team captained by Conor Duggan. In the second game Frank Meagher led the Cork team to victory over Mayo captained by Eoin Ryan. Two more thrilling games are promised for this Sunday, October 28, at 2.30pm.

On Sunday week last when Silvermines defeated Ballina in the Co. Intermediate hurling final at Semple Stadium Alan Ryan was wearing the number 2 jersey as he has done all season. Alan’s mother is Mary Britton of Ballynennan. In doing so Alan went a step ahead of his father Dan who helped Silvermines to victory over Mullinahone in the Co. Junior hurling final of 1979.
