Juvenile GAA

Last Saturday, we hosted an U10 hurling blitz. Ballygunner, Drom Inch, Cahir participated. There was plenty of action for all teams and lots of hurling skills displayed. Congratulations to Drom Inch who were the overall victors and to Ballygunner who won the shield. Thanks to all players, mentors, parents and the ladies for their catering. The Juvenile Club would like to convey their best wishes to the Boherlahan Dualla ladies juniors on winning the County final last Sunday. A Cuardaoicht will take place in Ardmayle Church each week, commencing on Thursday, October 25, at 8pm. This is not a talk, lecture or official function. There will be no chairperson or leader. It will simply follow the old rural tradition of a few people getting together to spend a couple of hours at night, reminiscing, telling yarns, tracing or discussion topics of local interest. Local seanachai, Tim Joe McGrath whose idea this was, will attend. All are welcome to just listen or make a contribution to the discussion. There is no charge and the Ardmayle Heritage Society will support by providing refreshments.

The 15th Boherlahan Dualla Historical Journal will be launched by Anne Leamy in the Parochial Hall, Boherlahan on Friday, November 9, at 8.30pm. The Journal has a variety of articles, enriched with plenty of photographs and maps and costs E10.

Many thanks to everybody who supported the recent fundraiser. The total sum raised is E1204.40.
