Church Gate Collection

A church gate collection for Good Morning South Tipperary will take place on October 27 and 28. Good Morning South Tipperary is a friendly, free and confidential phone service that supports the older and vulnerable people of South Tipperary and West Waterford. Trained volunteers make telephone calls to older and vulnerable people living in isolated rural areas or who are experiencing loneliness.

Cahir Ladies Football Club

Sunday, October 28, will be a historic day in the clubs history when the Intermediate team take to the field in the Munster Club Intermediate Final. The opposition will be provided by Eire Og of Cork. Venue and time to be confirmed. Please come and support the girls on the day.

Cahir Ladies Football will hold a Teenage Disco in Cahir House hotel from 8 pm to 11pm with mineral bar. Admission €5.

Congratulations to the boys minor team on qualifying for the final of the minor championship and to the camogie club on winning the county junior B championship

Pioneer Total Abstinence Association

The annual Pioneer Dinner Dance will be held in The Gold Coast, Dungarvan, on Sunday, November 11. Dinner at 2pm. Dancing to 6pm. Tickets €25 at 0527441929.

St. Vincent de Paul

Donations of good quality clean clothes, shoes, toys, etc. are urgently needed. Please hand them in to the shop in Abbey Street. The shop is open from Tuesday to Saturday. You can rest assured that they will be put to better use.

Table Quiz

Shamrock Lounge Dart Club will hold a table quiz on Saturday, October 27, at 9pm. Table of four €20. Team prizes and raffle on the night.

Dublin City Marathon Fundraiser

On Monday next Joe Murphy runs in the Dublin City Marathon. The Club is selling tickets with Joe’s finishing time on them for €2. We appeal to all members and supporters to purchase a ticket and be in with a chance to win the €500 prize. We thank Joe for his co-operation and wish him well in the race.

Country Markets

Cahir Country Markets takes place every Friday morning, at the Community Hall, from 9am to 11am. This weekend the market will have many Halloween treats for the Bank Holiday weekend, including cakes, breads, jams, vegetables and a host of autumn shrubs and flowers. Come along and support your local producers.

Cahir Community Lotto

There was no Jackpot winner of the draw that took place on Wednesday, October 17, in Cahir Day Care Centre. The numbers drawn were 9, 19, 28 and 29. The draw was witnessed by Lena Phelan. There were two Match Three winners who took home €100 each and they were Brendan Horan, Mullaney Gardens, Cahir and Charles Stead, Mountain Road. Cahir The next draw will take place on Wednesday, October 24, at 12 noon in Cahir Day Care Centre. The Jackpot will then be €3,400. Tickets are available in local shops and also at the Enterprise Centre.

Table Quiz

South Tipperary Regional Game Council will host a table quiz on Friday, November 2, at 8.30 pm in the Glenview Lounge, Goatenbridge. A table of four costs €20. The Game Council would be very grateful if you could support this event.
