The club wishes everyone a happy, healthy and successful New Year.

ROAD HURLING

The road hurling was a great success last Sunday, December 30. The weather was just about kind enough for people to have a very enjoyable day. The winners of the various categories are as follows: 1) Best overall team: Liam Lonergan, Diarmuid Lonergan & Michael O’Donell 2) Best combination team: Eoin O’Gorman, Clodagh O’Gorman and Tristan O’Gorman, 3) Best family team: Ken, Kaiffe & Sean O’Connell. Over 20 teams took part to make it a very successful day for all involved. The club would like to thank all who helped in any way especially the stewards. The raffle and trophy presentation took place in the Rovers Inn in the evening and was a most enjoyable occasion with much banter between the competing teams. The Raffle was won by Paul Halley, a voucher for a Bouncy Castle kindly donated by Joe Blair. Yet another success for the club in a very successful year. Roll on 2013.
