In recent weeks three students from Cashel Community School were awarded Entrance Scholarships to universities on the basis of the excellence of their Leaving Certificate 2012 results.

On Tuesday, December 11, Lainey Cully was awarded an entrance scholarship to University College Cork. Lainey is studying Law and French in U.C.C. This was an outstanding achievement, with two students from two schools in County Tipperary being among the 65 students from approximately 40 schools throughout Munster and neighbouring counties who received awards in the Devere Hall in U.C.C.

On Wednesday, November 15, a similar honour was bestowed on two ex-students who are currently studying in University College Dublin. Aoife Magner, who is studying Physiotherapy, and Patrick Morrissey, who is currently studying Agricultural Science, received Entrance Scholars Awards at a ceremony in the O’Reilly Hall in U.C.D. These awards were also granted on the basis of the excellence of Aoife’s and Patrick’s Leaving Certificate results in Cashel Community School.

All three students are congratulated on their outstanding achievement and are wished every success in their studies at third level.
