FIRST HOLY COMMUNION IN BALLYLOOBY

23 children from second class received their First Holy Communion on Saturday, May 18, in Ballylooby Church. Congratulations to all of them and their parents on this special parish day.

CORPUS CHRISTI IN 
BALLYLOOBY

To celebrate the Feast of Corpus Christi on Sunday, June 2, there will be Eucharistic Adoration in Ballylooby Church between 3pm and 4pm. All are welcome.

ANNUAL OUTING

Ballylooby Ladies Club Annual Outing this year is to Co. Wexford and takes place on Saturday, July 6. An interesting and varied itinerary is arranged and includes: J.F.K Homestead & New Visitor Centre New Ross which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, The Dunbrody Famine Ship New Ross, Coolaught Gardens Clonroche & The National 1798 Rebellion Centre Enniscorthy. We will conclude our day with an evening meal in Kevin Dundon’s Dunbrody House Hotel. PARENT & TODDLER GROUP

On Monday, May 27, the group will meet in the hall, Ballylooby, from 10.30am to 12.30pm. The following Monday, June 3, will be a day off for the Bank Holiday. Further information: Lucy 0527442058/0868185690.

BALLYLOOBY/CASTLEGRACE JUVENILE GAA

Cul Camp: This year’s summer camp will run from July 8 to 12 in Ballylooby for boys and girls between six and 12 years old. The previous summer camps run by the club have proved a huge success and this year aims to be no different with each participant receiving the Cul Camp kit and school bag. Like last year bookings are now being taken online at www.kelloggsculcamps.ie. An online only discount of €5 per child can be availed of by using the special tokens on boxes of Kellogg’s cereals. U12 footballers have now qualified for the south semi-finals after only two defeats during the league section.

The U16 footballers were narrowly defeated by Ballingarry in their semi final

Ballylooby/Castlegrace GAA Development Draw: The jackpot has now reached €7,400 as there was no winner last Monday night, May 13. Lucky numbers drawn - 9, 12, 16, & 17. Six match three winners will receive €35 each Eamon Ryan, Mary & Noel, Wm O’Donnell, Sean McNelis, Jamie Myles & Enda Kendrick.

Card Drive is held in Ballylooby Hall every Monday night at 8.30pm, followed by light refreshments.
