The Women’s Group had a very successful Treasure Hunt last Thursday, May 16 in Lagganstown. Well done to all the participants. In first place Catherine O’Brien & family, 2nd: Lynn & Emma Gott and 3rd: Bridget O’Neill. A big thank you to the committee members who provided refreshments afterwards in the Lagganstown Handball Alley. Many thanks to Lagganstown Handball Alley committee for the use of their premises. Date for your diary - A girls night out on Thursday, May 28, with bowling followed by a meal. Bus leaving car park at 6.30pm. Contact Mary Frances on 0527462252 for more details. Also a big thank you to Marie Keating and Theresa Shanahan for their health check up at the last meeting. It was much appreciated, as health can never be taken for granted.

NEW INN & DISTRICT VINTAGE CLASSIC CLUB

Held its Annual Run on Sunday, May 12. The Club has raised over €3,000 from the Fun Run. The Club received fantastic support from the parents from both the local boys and girls schools and a presentation will be made to the Parents Councils. The Club greatly appreciated the support given by the following sponsors: Paddy O’Connor, Joe & Janette Blair, Michael Purcell’s shop, Mary F Barron, FBD Insurance, Spar Shop - Cahir, Andrew Fanning Motor Factors Cahir, Fogarty Motor Factors Cashel, Rockwell College, M&S Machinery Cashel, Noel McNarmara Butchers, Colin Pressey, Pat O’Rourke and to the all parents that supplied items for the hampers. WOODENSTOWN GROTTO

It is proposed to hold a mass at Woodenstown Grotto on Friday, June 14, at 7.30pm (weather permitting) for all households in the area.

NEW INN FESTIVAL

Fun day will take place this year on Sunday, June 16. A 6K fun walk/run is being planned this year for Saturday, June 15, at 7pm as part of the New Inn Festival.

CONVENT OF MERCY SCHOOL REUNION

Calling on all past pupils of the Convent in New Inn. Come back for a day of laughter and memories on Saturday, June 22. U12’s had a busy week. Hard luck to the players who were beaten by a strong Arravale Rovers side on Monday, May 13, in Sean Treacy Park. Final score 11 scores to 5. However they beat Rosegreen in Rosegreen on Thursday, May 16. Final score: 11 scores to 6. Man of the match was Diarmuid O’Brien. Well done to all players.

U10 FOOTBALL BLITZ

Well done to the players who beat Clerihan and Fethard during a football blitz in Clerihan last Sunday, May 19. Team: Senan McMahon, Eoin Doyle, Jason O’Gorman, Danny Doherty, Mark O’Grady, Kevin Keating, Diarmuid O’Brien, Luca Fitzgerald, Joseph Lawrence and Kyle Burke.

MINOR FOOTBALL

Well done to Rockwell/Rosegreen who beat Cashel King Cormacs in the semi-final of the Pa Sheehy Butchers West Minor B Football Championship last Wednesday, May 15. Final score 3-4 to 2-12. Out injured Eoghan Ryan - we wish him a speedy recovery!

ADULT FOOTBALL
