THE LATE TOMMY TREACY
The death occurred of Tommy Tracey, Soloheadbeg, on May 10. The Late Tommy was very involved in the G.A.A. and was life President. He was also into vintage cars and clay pigeons.
His remains were removed from Whelan’s Funeral Home, Tipperary on Thursday evening to St. Nicholas Church, Solohead. Requiem Mass on Friday was celebrated by Fr. Tommy Leahy, assisted by Fr. John Morris. Interment took place in Kilfeacle Cemetery.
Sympathy is extended to his sister Mrs. Mary Kinane, nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces. May he rest in peace.
The annual collection for our sacristan Nuala Perry, will take place this weekend May 22. We are very fortunate to have such a committed person like Nuala taking care of Church. A lot of work is unseen, but Nuala is always on hand, preparing for different ceremonies and the Church is a credit to her. This is an opportunity to express our appreciation and recognition of her work and subscribe generously.
11 children from Monard and Newtown Schools received their First Holy Communion at the 11.30am Mass in Solohead on Sunday May 15.

Our Junior hurlers got their West Championship campaign off to winning start on Sunday last in Dundrum with a well deserved eight point margin victory over Arravale Rvs.
Two cracking goals by Christopher O’Connor and one by Declan Riordan who came on as a substitute in the second half effectively ended any chance of an Arravale upset and with a big response to training, we can look forward to tackling some of the other fancied contenders for championship honours.

Sologhead GAA Club wish to extend its deepest sympathy to his sister Mary, family, relations and many friends of the late Tommy Treacy, Sologheadbeg who was interred last Friday in Kilfeacle.
A man of many talents, Tommy at the time of his passing was Life President of Sologhead GAA Club.
Sologhead GAA Club also wish to sympathise to his wife Anne and family and friends of the late Donal (Dodie) Ryan, Ballyryan East, who was laid to rest last week.
