Killenaule Heartsafe committee has been established under the chairmanship of John Hayes. The committee now have four defibrillators, two donated by Boston Scientific, and two donated by the Killenaule Senior GAA club.
The next step is to provide external storage boxes for quick access, and training for volunteers, on the use of the defibrillators. This will require fund raising. With this in mind, a team of four are paticipating in the Connemara Rough Diamond twenty six mile run and cycle. The team of P.J. Hayes, Pakie Ryan, Jamie Lawlor and Liam Meagher are looking for sponsorship for this endeavour, and hope the community will be generous in their support.
