WEDDING BELLS

The wedding took place on Sunday May 1, 2011 of Sinead Ryan, eldest daughter of Donal and Marian (nee Lorigan) Ryan, Carhue Cross to Thomas, son of Jim and Kitty Croke, Ballingarry, Thurles, at St. Brigid’s Church, Annacarty at 1pm.

The celebrant of the mass and marriage ceremony was Very Rev. John Beally, parish priest of Annacarty-Donohill.

The bride was escorted to the altar by her father Donal, together with her chief bridesmaid, her sister Rita Ryan. Attending bridesmaids were: Catherine Croke, Geraldine Purcell and Teresa Horan. Best man was James Croke, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were: Eoin Ryan, Brian Ryan (brothers of the bride) and Michael Morris. Flowergirl Caitlin Ryan, Pageboy Callum Ryan. Readers: Carmel Croke and Stephen Ryan, brother of the bride. Prayers of the faithful were read by Caroline Dawdry, Sharon Browne, Tammi Parker and Catriona Purcell. The offertory gifts were brought in procession by Marian Ryan, mother of the bride and Kitty Croke, mother of the groom. The wedding music was presented by Niamh Griffin and Catherine Quigley.

There was a large attendance of relatives, neighbours and friends present at Church, all of whom, were later entertained by the parents at the wedding reception at the Newpark Hotel, Kilkenny. Sinead and Tom who enjoyed the good wishes and many messages from all for a long and happy future together will reside near the town of New Ross where they have recently purchased a home. They are presently enjoying their honeymoon. Best wishes from all and many congratulations.

Eire Og Annacarty GAA:

Eire Og Senior Footballers defeated Galtee Rovers in the County League to qualify for the semi-final stages. Semi-final against JK Brackens this coming Friday, 20th May. Check fixtures for details.

Junior Footballers face Rockwell Rovers this Saturday, 21st May in Golden at 7.30pm.

Minor Hurlers were defeated by Cappawhite last Wednesday.

Well done to the under 12 Footballers B-squad on winning the under 12 F Football championship last Thursday, defeating Golden\Kilfeacle & Rosegreen in the process.

Under 14 Footballers were defeated by Lattin\Cullen in the West Championship last Thursday.

GET WELL WISHES:

The club extends get-well wishes to Jason Barry who was injured in the recent Minor Hurling game against Arravale Rovers last month.

BUTLER’S CENTRA GAA PROMOTION:

Eire Og Annacarty has entered the Butler’s Centra GAA Promotion, running until Saturday, 4th June. Support for the Eire Og club through this competition would be very much appreciated.
