GALTEE ROVERS - ST PECAUN’S
Our senior footballers had a two point win over J K Brackens on Saturday evening and now progress to round two of the county football championship. We also have a date with Arravale Rovers in the final group game of the West Championship in a couple of weeks. Best wishes to Conor O’Sullivan who lines out with the Tipp minors in Portlaoise in the All-Ireland quarter final. Well done also to David Finnane, Shane Power and Daire Egan who lined out for Tipperary in the Munster under-age football competitions recently.
Defeat to Arravale Rovers in round two of the intermediate hurling championship means that our interest in this competition is now over despite the great efforts of everybody involved. Now we turn to the minor hurlers to lift our spirits and a good win over Arravales last Wednesday night was just the tonic. This win puts us in with a shout of making the semi-finals so hopefully we can get a couple more victories.
By now our annual Golf Classic has become a fixture on the calendar so please pencil in August the 11 and 12 as the dates for this important club fundraiser in Ballykisteen Hotel and Golf Resort .
