Up to 50 children competed in St Molleran’s GAA Club’s Juvenile Academy end of season blitz last Saturday.

Thanks to all who helped organise the contest and to Waterford minor hurler Willie Hahessy, who presented medals.

The Club’s U-14 hurling team retained the Lory Kiely Hurling Tournament plaque last Saturday by defeating Carrickshock in the final. Willie Hahessy presented the plaque to winning captain Jack Walshe. Michael Mulcahy was man of the match. The Club extends sympathy to the family of Seamie Power, Ballyclough. He was a member of St Molleran’s teams of the 1960s and ‘70s that won a county Intermediate title in 1970 and contested the 1971 Senior county final.
