The Clonmel and Environs Development Plan 2013-2019 was adopted by Clonmel Borough Council at its meeting last week.
This brought an end to a two-year process that involved much debate, many workshops and submissions.
From start to completion the plan undergoes three stages - pre-draft, draft and material alteration stage.
Councillors were advised by Town Manager Sinead Carr that in line with the legislation there was no opportunity to raise any further items for discussion at such a late stage, except to deal with very minor issues if necessary.
The plan was proposed and seconded by Cllrs. Siobhan Ambrose and Brian O’Donnell.
Cllr. Joe Leahy wanted to have it recorded that he was unhappy with aspects of the plan.
