Ballyneale FC news

Ballyneale FC travelled to Thurles on Sunday to play Peake Villa, a side traditionally strong at home.

In the first half, the home side had lots of possession and chances created but failed to score.

This gave the team great hope and the second half turned into an enjoyable open game with Ballyneale getting the better of the exchanges.

We carved out enough chances to probably win the tie with none better than a volley from Ger Crowley inside the box in the last minute, which unluckily went over the bar with the keeper beaten.

Best for Ballyneale on the day were Lenny McGrath, Ger Crowley, Kevin Hogan and John Noonan.

The Club is not expecting any game next weekend and there wasn’t a winner of the Golden Goal.
