OOLA YOUTH CLUB
Oola Senior youth club members travelled Basketball Tournment in Thurles. There was nine teams taking part in the competition. The guys won all their matches. Oola had a grand total of 98 the highest in the competition and in the final they played Pallasgreen A team who had also won all their matches in the A group.
The Team was Luke, Brian, Danial and Emily O’Dea, Chloe O’Brien, Katie Harty, Shauna O’Brien and Conor Dee.
Oola trailed in the first half by 4 to 8. In the second half Oola fought back but were unlucky to lost by 10 to 14, at the bell. The guys played great and were very disappointed to have lost.
Club as normal this Saturday night for all members.
Councillors from the Castleconnell Electoral area will attend a public meeting in the Community Centre, Cappamore on February 28, at 8.30pm. All are welcome to attend. This meeting has been organised by the Mulcair District Forum who are also meeting that night at 7.30pm in the same venue. The Limerick Development draw will commence on Friday, March 2. There will be ten monthly draws from March to December with a top monthly prize of €15,000 and lots of other cash prizes to be won. The cost is €10 per month or €100 for the year. The draw is a good source of income for the Club with 50% of entry fee remaining in the Club. We would encourage all club players, members and supporters to join the draw.

Congratulation to all players involved with Doon CBS on winning the Corn Phádraig Munster Senior Hurling Final against Dungarvan CBS last Saturday in Cahir on a scoreline of 2 - 6 to 11 points.
Also this Saturday at 2.30pm in Bruff they play in the final of the Munster football championship against Patrician Academy, Mallow, who they beat in the semi-final of the hurling. We hope a large number of supporters will go to support the team and management as they now seek a unique double. The very best of luck to all involved
