Thank You

Ardfinnan Community Council would like to take this opportunity to thank Mary O’Neill who has retired after many years of service on the Community Council. Mary has been an integral part of many activites in the hall over the years and was always willing to lend a hand and give her time. Your dedication and commitment will be missed by the committee and we would like to wish you the very best for the future.

Come hail, rain or shine we will continue our walks every Tuesday and Thursday night at 7.30pm sharp from the hall. These walks are free of charge and everyone walks at their own pace so there is no pressure on anyone to “be up the front”. We have had some miserable evenings lately however most people have turned up regardless. Well done everyone. Get fit Get Active.

Ardfinnan GAA Club

Our two Adult teams are out in the championship next weekend . The Senior team play Carrick Swan while our Juniors will play Ballingarry. This is down as a double header on Saturday in Clonmel so keep an eye on the fixtures page in the sports pages for exact details or check out our facebook page for updates. Best of luck to both teams.

The under 16s were beaten by Clonmel Commercials in the South Championship on Monday night last.

Our Under 14s played Moyle Rovers in a challenge on Sunday at 12pm in Ardfinnan. Moyle Rovers won on the day but we played well and this game should stand to us as we prepare to play Cahir in the next round of the Championship on Thursday night in Ardfinnan.

The Under 12 A team played a good challenge game against Kilsheelan on Saturday evening and just after this game our under 12 B team played Newcastle in the Premier 12s, the lads played really well and ran out winners on a score line of 5-6 to 1-0.

The Under 8 player of the week is Jack O’Neill and the Under 6 Player of the week is Shane Ryan. Well done lads and keep up the good work.
