Killenaule – Moyglass Ladies Soccer
The girls had a 9 -1 win over Nenagh on Saturday night at Scoil Ruain, a fantastic win against last year’s champions. The girls played excellent soccer and put Nenagh on the back foot from the start. Aimee Moloney, Shauna Hayes and Edel O’Dwyer having near misses in the first 10 minutes before Katie O’Regan broke through to score the first goal
and within 5 minutes Shauna Hayes was brought down for a penalty that Katie O’Regan scored. The floodgates opened after that and Edel O’Dwyer, Shauna Hayes (scored 2) and Roisin Trehy scored before half
time. The second half was much closer and again Katie O’Regan got the first goal before Nenagh responded with a good free kick but Edel O’Dwyer and Katie O’Regan had the final say with a goal each.
Team: Hannah Stapleton, Eidin Murphy, Emer Barry, Cait Murphy, Roisin Trehy, Erin Slattery, Michelle Meagher, Aimee Murphy, Shauna Hayes, Katie O’Regan, and Edel O’Dwyer. Subs used: Aoife O’Connor, Roisin O’Regan, Aine O’Donovan, Nell Trehy and Fiona O’Connor.

Minor Football Killenaule w/o Swan
Junior Hurling Killenaule 0-12 Fr. Sheedy’s 0-12
Senior Hurling Killenaule 3-15 Mullinahone 3-13
Another good week on the playing fields with our U16 and Minor Footballers and also our Senior Hurlers qualifying for the semi finals of their championships. The U16s played out a very exciting draw with Cahir on a bitterly cold and wet evening. Cahir snatched a draw with a late point from a free. Best on the night were Pa Hannigan, Jack Gleeson, Denis Fogarty, Pat Doyle, Paudie Feehan and man of the match Luke Trimble. Our Minors received a walk over from Swan. The Junior Hurlers played a tough match against Fr. Sheehy’s and a draw was a fitting result. With the Championship just around the corner all players need to get to training. Best on the day were S. Hannigan, A Leahy, P O’Connor, K Cleary, C Prendergast, P Fennelly and man of the match T Keavney. Our Senior Hurlers continued their good start to the year with a hard fought win over local rivals Mullinahone. Having played second fiddle to them over the past few years our lads showed they mean business this year with a fighting performance. We have now qualified for the semis so our training plan will be altered. With great competition for places, attendance at training is very important. It was a great team performance from 1 to 15 and an interesting factor of the game was that neither team used a substitute during the game. We had outstanding performances from D Ryan, Mouse, Festy, K Bergin, M Doyle and men of the match T Doyle and Bubbles.
