PROGRESSIVE “25” DRIVE WINNERS

On Thursday last, our Under 16 footballers were defeated by Ballylooby-Castlegrace in a Championship game played at Anner Park, Cloneen, when the score was 3-7 to 1-7. On the previous Monday, our boys were victorious over Kilsheelan-Kilcash by 3-9 to 1-8. The team was:

What a pity we could not field a full team against Ballylooby-Castlegrace when a victory was possible and would have won us a place in the semi-final. Our Under 14 footballers play Fr. Sheehy’s in Clogheen at 7 p.m. on Monday week May 14 and on Monday May 21, we will have home venue for an Under 14 football game against Carrick Davins at 7 p.m. in Cloneen.
On Saturday last in Thurles, our Under 8 hurlers were victorious over Moneygall Loughmore Castleiney and Ballingarry. The team was: Daithi Hogan, Pat Moroney, Danny Broderick, Brian O’Halloran, Jack Cleere, Bill Cuddihy, Evan White, Conor Brett, William Cleere, Eoin Fitzgerald and Robert Noonan.
On this Saturday evening, our Junior Footballers play Newcastle in the Championship First round at 7 p.m. in Ned Hall Park, Clonmel.
On this Monday evening, our Under 21 footballers play Grangemockler-Ballyneale in the County Final at 6 p.m. in Clonmel.
ST. PATRICK’s LADIES GAA CLUB
In preparation for the upcoming u12 championship; a challenge game has been organised for this Wednesday May 2 against Mullinahone at 6.30pm in Cloneen.
Details of next u14 championship game not finalised as yet.
Our junior team travelled to Cappawhite on Friday past for their second round league game. The Cappawhite B side proved to be much stronger opposition on the evening and run out easy winners. Team: Louise Mullaney, Aileen Sugrue, Roisin Horan, Jane Fitzgerald, Ann Sugrue, Rachel McCormack, Rebecca Hayden (capt), Sarah Mockler, Shelley O’Dwyer, Aine O’Donovan, Siobhan Vaughan, Denise Noonan, Siobhan Dunne, Maeve Browne and Niamh Morrissey.
The next league game is a home fixture against Latten Cullen and is scheduled for Monday May 7.
