WALK ON WEDNESDAYS
Scoil Mhuire Gan Smál are starting a “Walk on Wednesdays” (WOW) programme as part of their Active Schools Flag campaign. Brendan Cummins will launch this on Wednesday 9 May. Everyone is invited to walk with the pupils & staff from the G.A.A. field to the school at 9.15am next Wednesday and then join us for a school fundraising Breakfast morning in the the Convent Hall.
The Rockwell Rovers juvenile club would sincerely like to thank everyone who contributed to their church gate collection last weekend. The amount collected was €608. Thanks especially to Fr Michael Kennedy for his co-operation and support.
Rockwell Rovers GAA club players had a very successful table quiz last Friday night in Barrons Pub, New Inn. The winners on the night were Eileen Bell, Desmond Bell, Breeda Bell & Dick Kneeshaw. This was a very successful and worthwhile fundraiser with over 25 tables participating. A big thank you to all who sponsored prizes for the raffle. Great credit is due to all involved, especially MC on the night Karl McHugh, Mary Frances Barron and all the hard working Rockwell Rovers players committee. The players themselves would like to thank everyone that came and supported them on the night.
Thanks to Teresa Shanahan, Public Health nurse and Marie Keating SRN for their advice and help on health issues such as blood pressure and blood sugars at our last meeting. Date for your diary - Treasure Hunt will be held on Tuesday 15 May at 6.30pm in Rockwell College. €5 per adult, children are free. All are welcome.

Coaching provided by clubs own Intermediate Hurlers. €2 voluntary contribution towards coaches expenses. Well done to our U12 F team who defeated Golden on Monday 23 April in Golden. It was a hard fought match, final score 7 scores to 8. Hard luck to our U12 B team who were beaten by a strong Lattin-Cullen side in Lattin last Monday night.

Well done to the following players John Keating & Eoghan Ryan who made the U17 County development football squad, Owen Cleary, Liam Fahey, Craig O’Connell & Conor Hickey who were part of the U15 West Hurling panel who won the Rodger Ryan Plate last Saturday in Toomevara.
