Ss. Peter & Paul’s Renovations

We are most grateful for the generosity of so many parishioners who have donated €E131,394 towards the renovation of our Church. Total cost of renovations €E875,000. Loan €E500,000, Balance to pay €E368,606.

Ceóltas Irish Night

In the Park Hotel on Thursday, July 19, from 9pm with music group Seisiun.

All proceeds to Clonmel Carers Association. Tickets €E10 each from the Clonmel Carers office or on the night at the hotel

Fr. Colm O’Brien Memorial Cycle 2012

Fr. Colm’s Memorial Cycle will take place this year on Saturday, August 18. The cycle will start at Ss. Peter and Paul’s Church, Clonmel at 11am, travel from Clonmel to Tramore via St. Pauls, Lisduggan or alternatively you can cycle seven miles from St. Paul’s, Lisduggan, to Tramore.

We raised over €E10,000 last year for renovation work that was carried out in Ss. Peter & Paul’s, St. Paul’s and Holy Cross, Tramore. This year the proceeds will go to SVP.

Sr. Helen Butler - Golden Jubilee

We congratulate Sr. Helen, Sisters of Charity, Clonmel, who recently celebrated her Golden Jubilee. Sr. Helen is a native of Clonmel, and is still very much involved in a pastoral care role in the Sisters’ Primary School. We celebrate her 50 years of faithful service, as a dedicated and committed religious sister.

Cancer Support Centre

The C.A.R.E. Cancer Support Centre at Wellington Street, Clonmel, will close for the Summer break on Friday, July 27 and re-open on Monday, August 27.

Bric-a-Brac and Cake Sale

A big thanks to all who helped to make the sale, a great success. A special thank you to those who got the Centre ready, to those who donated so many items for sale, to those who provided Cakes, Scones etc. In particular, we are grateful to those who were available to sell the items and to make teas etc. Thanks to all who donated Raffle Prizes, bought raffle tickets, and to those who organised the raffle. Knock Festival

Youth 2000 Festival

Youth 2000 Summer Festival will take place at Clonmacnoise, Co. Offaly from Thursday 9 to Sunday. August 12. For young people aged 16 -35.

IHCPT Lourdes Pilgrimage:

Since 1972, IHCPT has been taking young people with special needs to Lourdes at Easter. Applications are welcome from young people with: A physical disability or illness (age 9 – 30) – A learning disability (aged 11 – 30) a serious illness up to age 11 accompanied by a parent or guardian – Family Group. There are also places available for those who do not have a disability but whom The Trust believes would benefit from the experience of Lourdes.
