Bingo makes donation to Community Hall

The committee for Cahir Community Hall would like to acknowledge the recent donation of €1,000 from Cahir Community Bingo, given in aid of the refurbishment of the much used and loved hall. The Committee would also like to acknowledge the great work that Cahir Bingo do in the hall as they are one of the best clients, always preparing and cleaning the hall thoroughly each week and leaving it in pristine condition when they leave.

Cahir Bingo also provides a great social event, with great entertainment and worthwhile prizes. For some, this is sometimes the only social event of the week and for many is most welcome.

Cahir Bingo is also known for their generous donations to local fundraisers and the Community Hall Committee is fortunate to be one of those and thank Cahir Bingo, sincerely. The committee hopes that they will continue this valuable service to the community for many years to come.

Poulmucka Ploughing

Association

It is the time of year when once again ploughing is on the minds of members of Poulmucka Ploughing Association, preparing for the National Ploughing Championships which take place in New Ross, Co. Wexford, next week.

Members of the club who are competing at the championships representing South Tipperary in various classes are busy over the coming weeks leading to the event. They are preparing tractors and ploughs and getting in as much practice as possible.

The club is currently busy and very active as Senior Ploughman Larry Bergin is representing Ireland at the 5 Nations Ploughing Championships in Wales over the comnig weekend. Best of luck Larry!

Six members of Poulmucka Ploughing Club are representing South Tipperary at the National Ploughing Championships in Wexford this year and we also wish them the best of luck.

Recently, an enjoyable evening took place in Moloney’s Bar, Poulmucka, where the Club were joined by Eamon O’Dwyer, of Tipp Fm’s ‘Down your way’. It was very well attended and a great night was had by all.
