CEILI MISSION CLOSES
The three week Ceili Mission in Mitchelstown Parish finished last Sunday. During the second week members of the 29 visiting team called to all 2,356 houses in the parish. Missioners Monsignor Lynch and Fr John Keane found a great welcome, openness and hospitality in the area. It was a Mission with a difference, one that endeavoured to incorporate all elements of parish life. Now that the Mission is over the organising committee under manager Mattie McGrath wish to thank the organising committee, the homes they visited, the guides who showed the team around, the parents, staff and students of all the schools, the people who catered for the mission team, those who provided their homes with accommodation, sacristans, those who were involved in any way with the liturgy, all coordinators, caretakers of ‘town hall’, the priests of the parish who were so amenable and to the large attendance who attended each evening.
