COMMUNITY ALERT SCHEME
There was a great turnout for the public meeting last week. It was agreed that we would set about getting the text alert scheme up and running in the parish. Over the next few weeks, all households in the parish (Knockavilla, Dundrum and Donaskeigh) will be visited by committee members to find out who wants to be part of the text alert scheme. We we are asking for people from all townlands in the parish to come to the next meeting, tomorrow, Thursday, November 29, 7.30pm in Knockavilla Hall. Then we can ensure a speedy implementation of the system, which will benefit every family in the parish.
A kiddies disco will take place in Knockavilla Community hall this Friday, November 30, from 8pm to 9.30pm. €3.
The Community Council will hold a fundraising table quiz on Friday, December 7, at 9pm in the Venue. Tables of four €20. All proceeds will go towards the refurbishment works currently being carried out in the Community hall. All support on the night would be greatly appreciated.
We can also confirm that Santa has agreed to turn on the Christmas lights this year in Knockavilla on Saturday, December 8, after mass, followed by a free magic show afterwards in the hall. So mark the date into your calendars.
