Ballyneale FC defeated Dualla 3-1 in the first round of the Peter O’Reilly Cup in Dualla last Sunday.
Ballyneale dominated the game but after 25 minutes of pressure Dualla broke away and put away their only chance of the half, leaving it 1-0 at half time.
Ballyneale’s players, however, continued to apply the pressure and scored through Darren McCarthy on the 70th minute.
Enda Fogarty scored the team’s scored second goal from a very tight angle 75 minutes into the match.
Jamie Kennedy then finished the scoring on 85 minutes with a fine individual goal.
He picked up possession inside the Ballyneale half, ran at the Dualla defence leaving them in his wake and fired the ball under cross bar.
Best for Ballyneale were Jamie Kennedy, Darren Mc Carthy and Enda Fogarty. The team play Kilbehenny in the League in another away game next Sunday, December 2.
