Slievenamon Harriers

On Sunday 10th February our 18th meet of the season will be in Laffansbridge. All meets will be at 11.00.


There was no jackpot winner on Tuesday 29th January when the numbers drawn were: 5, 6, 20 & 21. Two players matched 3 numbers and won €50 each.

The Jackpot will be €1,600.00 for our next draw on Tuesday 12th February.

The next Whist Drive in Drangan will be the Foroige Whist Drive on Monday 18th February. New players are always welcome to come along.

There was no Jackpot Winner on Tuesday 22nd January when two players matched 3 numbers and received 50 each. They were Robert Hackett, Fethard and Ciarán, Aodhán & Conor Maher, Curraheen. Spin The Wheel contestants drawn were: Brian O’Halloran, Drangan and Paddy McGrath, Carrick on Suir.

The Jackpot will be €1,600 for our next draw on Tuesday 5th February at 9.00pm.

All are welcome to attend the Lotto Draw in the clubrooms at Anner Park at 9.00pm.

This may be of special interest to those with family or friends away.

We remind all GAA members that the membership fee for 2013 is now due and should be paid to Treasurer Micheál Broderick or Secretary Catherine Mockler as soon as possible. The fee is the same as the last few years at €50 for adults and €25 for members who were under 18 on 1st January 2013 and also for full time students. Only fully paid up members will be included in draws for Munster and All Ireland Championship games.

Our Under 21 footballers Anner Gaels play Moyle Rovers in the first round of the championship  on this Sunday 10th February in Ned Hall Park Clonmel at 12.30pm.

The South and County GAA Boards are recruiting new referees and would welcome interested persons to attend a course in Mid February. Anybody who is interested is asked to contact Club Secretary Catherine Mockler.

Mass for deceased members of the GAA in Drangan and Cloneen will be celebrated in The Church of the Immaculate Conception Drangan on this Sunday morning 10th February at 11.00.

The St. Patrick’s Ladies GAA Club AGM was held on Friday 18th January in the Clubrooms in Cloneen. Officers appointed were: Chairperson: Pat Morrissey, Vice Chairperson: Helen Hogan, Secretary and Assistant Secretary: no-one appointed on the night, Treasurer: Siobhan Vaughan, Assistant Treasurer: Paula Ryan; Treasurer: Siobhan Vaughan; Child Welfare Officer: Margaret Hogan and PRO: Úna O’Brien. General committee members: Trish Strappe, Ann Marie Ryan, Marie Meaney, Caitriona Boland, Mairead Foley, Fintan Morrissey, Niamh Morrissey. Team coaches/managers: u6: Margaret Hogan and Emma Horan; u8: Ann Marie Ryan, Siobhan Vaughan, Shelia Butler and Caitriona Boland; u10 and 12: Helen Hogan, Trish Strappe, Milo McGrath and Úna O’Brien; u14 and 16: Pat Morrissey, John Ryan and Alasdair Mac Donald. Junior Team: Shane Ivors and Nigel Cleere. G4O Team: Helen Hogan and Trish Strappe. Outgoing secretary Rebecca Hayden and outgoing chairperson Úna O’Brien thanked all outgoing officers, committee members, coaches, players and parents for all their work and efforts throughout 2012 and conveyed their good wishes to all for the year ahead.
