Halla na Feile

Social Tea Dance in Halla na Feile on Friday, April 26, with dancing from 9pm to 12 midnight.

Music is by the ever popular Declan Aungier. Teas and sandwiches will be served and admission is €8.

Social Dancing

Social Dancing Classes in Halla na Feile, on Tuesday evenings, continue to be very popular with dancing from 8.30pm to 10.45pm.

Beginners are catered for and are invited to come at 8pm. Admission €5.

Cashel Toastmasters

The next meeting of Cashel Toastmasters takes place in Gleeson’s Pub this Thursday, April 18, at 8pm. Newcomers as always are very welcome.

On Sunday, April 21, the Division D Final of the Speech and Evaluation Contest taking place at the Clonmel Park Hotel at 2.30pm. this event is being hosted by Clonmel Toastmasters. Admission is only €5 which includes light refreshment tea/coffee and biscuits. If the current weather is anything to go by why not pass an afternoon being entertained with interesting speeches and evaluations and who knows perhaps take up a new hobby.

Active Retirement

Cashel Active Retirement Group will hold their annual general meeting on Friday, April 26, at 2.30pm in Spafield Family Resource Centre. A good attendance is requested and new members are welcome.

Open House on World Book Night

Do you have a passion for books? The Cashel Book Club cordially invites you to join us in Cashel Library for a cuppa and share an informal evening with other like-minded book lovers. Is there a book that you think everyone should read? A chance to read a short passage from your favourite book. Would you like a chance to let off steam about the most over-rated book ever? If so, come along to the Cashel Book Club Open House for an enjoyable evening on Tuesday, April 23, at 7.30pm. Bring along books you have read and would like to donate or swap for something else. Light refreshments will be served.

Table Quiz

Spafield Family Resource Centre are holding their annual table quiz in the Brian Boru, Main Street ,on Thursday, April 25, at 9pm. Table of four €20 or €5 a head. Your generous support would be greatly appreciated.

All Ireland Chowder Cook–Off

The very best of luck to local publican, restaurateur and club selector Paddy Fahy as he sets off to Kinsale, on Sunday, April 21, to take part in the All Ireland Chowder Cook-Off.

This prestigious event will see Kilkenny “native” Paddy don the “Blue and Gold” of his adopted county Tipperary and in pursuit of glory. We wish him every success!

Bealtaine Festival 2013

Celebrating creativity as we age!

Cashel Library’s program of events to celebrate this year’s Bealtaine Festival are as follows: Internet Classes for Beginners: Starting on Monday, April 29. These classes run for four weeks. Classes run from 10am to 1pm.

Admission is free, but places are limited so booking is essential.

Introduction to Weaving with Rose Hanley: Tuesday, May 14, at 7pm.

Bealtaine Movie Night

Cashel Library is showing “His & Hers” as part of the Bealtaine Festival.

From kitchens, living rooms and hallways across the Irish midlands, ‘His & Hers’ delightfully combines observation and charm to tell a 90-year-old love story through the voices of 70 women. Showing on May 30 at 7pm.

All are welcome. Admission is free. No booking required.
